I define disruptive as something that challenges the norm and how we do things now. For these platforms, their features and/or audience puts them in this category. All of them offer a certain level of risk-reward, but for some brands, it’s a risk worth taking.

Don't just shock, show support
You need to be a supporter for the creators and community, you will get some press attention. Make sure it’s for the right reason. Just because you want to be “edgy” doesn’t mean you’re an ally.

Find your fandom. Foster conversation.
It’s a great way to find new communities, to help bring in events and bring in people. There’s no harm in finding and fostering your community here. It's a bit trickier to set up and ensure you have the right audience, but it could be a winner.

It's not about you. Listen and learn.
If you really want to make an impact, you’re going to have invest significant time and money. It’s not about YOU, it’s about the community. They want to create together. They aren’t really listening to brands. You have to encourage creation, and support them.
